Online application to participate in the 5-generation Genealogy Project

Please provide as much information as you can

INSTRUCTIONS:  Please fill out as much of this form as you can; you will be contacted if more information is required to begin the research.  Begin with your name and contact information, the name of the eviction survivor or resident in whom you are interested, and briefly explain your relationship to him or her (Self, Child, Grandchild, or other relationship, including "Not related".  PLEASE NOTE:  The person does not actually have to have been evicted; they simply must have lived in one of the neighborhoods at any time between 1909 and 1950.  More than 6,000 people lived in the three neighborhoods during that time period.
    • Enter the neighborhood where the person or family lived (Palo Verde, Bishop, or La Loma)
    • If you don't know exact dates, don't be concerned — just enter the year; if you are unsure, enter 'abt' of 'bet' with a guess (e.g., 'abt 1879', or 'bet 1832 and 1850')
    • If you don't know the exact location in México, that's OK, too; just enter your best guess of the name of the city and/or the state
    • Enter full names where possible; nicknames are fun, but they are not very useful for research; Mexican records are indexed by birth surnames, not women's married names, like they are in the US.
    • When you are finished, click the SUBMIT button.  That will begin the process and you will be contacted.
Enter the name of the person whose genealogy you wish to have researched.
Enter your relationship to the person or persons of interest. If you are not related, enter "Not related"
Enter the street name and house number where the person(s) lived; for example, 1750 Bishops Road
Enter the year or range of years
Enter the person's date of birth, if known
Enter the person's date of marriage, if known
Enter the person's birth location, if known
Enter the person's marriage location, if known
Did the person or his/her family immigrate from México?
Enter the location in México where the person lived
Enter the names of the person's parents, if known
Enter as much information as you can about the names of relatives and their relationship(s) to the person of interest

  What our friends are saying

"Thank you for such an informative site which highlights the plight of those relocated from Chavez Ravine.   My stepfather was a happy child growing up in the Palo Verde area.  He had many stories about living in the area and working at the [Ayala] store."

"Wow that is awesome thank you"

"
Dodger Stadium will always be a monument to the displacement of three entire communities"
